KS Pustków's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tadeusz Haskiewicz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeusz Haskiewicz in the 37th minute of play forced CF Nowa Sól's goalkeeper Stanislaw Adamus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute, Tadeusz Haskiewicz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Stanislaw Adamus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tadeusz Haskiewicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cyryl Pawelczyk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zachariasz Domaracki to make the kick off.
