After 17 minutes AFC FUSION's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Ronaldão Silveira who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Duda Matorin heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. The audience was convinced that Marco Lorien's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olev Õmblus was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. AFC FUSION's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Saverio Ederono in the 21st minute. After taking down the ball on AFC FUSION's corner Saverio Ederono fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Olev Õmblus quite easily take care of the ball. With his leg Olev Õmblus managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when AFC FUSION's Marco Lorien fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 29 minutes into the match, AFC FUSION's goal looked a bit too open when Henrique Pimenta came free, but Augusto Montrel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute, Ronaldão Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olev Õmblus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marco Lorien in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th minute Mauricio Nabar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olev Õmblus saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Catugi FC's Olev Õmblus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriele Batistuta in the 42nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrique Pimenta in the 43rd minute of play forced AFC FUSION's goalkeeper Augusto Montrel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Catugi FC booed when AFC FUSION was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carolo Rico didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

54 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mauricio Nabar came free, but Olev Õmblus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olev Õmblus showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan Vázquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. The AFC FUSION fans' excitement grew in the 58th match minute when AFC FUSION's Marco Lorien looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 62 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's Ronaldão Silveira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Montrel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, AFC FUSION's Gustavo Horado got a free kick in the 68th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Catugi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlos Ishmael came free, but Olev Õmblus reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto Montrel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gonçalo Félix in the 71st minute. Olev Õmblus made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriele Batistuta in the 75th minute of play.
