After 9 minutes of play, 14. Durban Hammerheads's Andrew Murdock made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Murillo Pinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Abel Dracena sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Paul Leese made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Lajos Domonkos sent off a good shot on target. Vivaldo Rodrigues's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Paul Leese skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by 14. Durban Hammerheads's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Adelino Ramos was slow to take the kick. During this time Jovens Democratas MZC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Lajos Domonkos almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but 14. Durban Hammerheads's Paul Leese did a great save. Percival Mangueira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paul Leese having to interfere. Jovens Democratas MZC's Murillo Pinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andrew Murdock in the 24th minute of play. Paul Leese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Rodrigues in the 25th minute of play. Murillo Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Murdock in the 30th minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match 14. Durban Hammerheads got a corner. Jovens Democratas MZC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Andrew Murdock ran over to the corner to take the kick. Murillo Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Murdock in the 38th minute of play. 14. Durban Hammerheads's Paul Leese proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save 14. Durban Hammerheads from getting a goal against them. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Andrew Murdock made a kick off. Murillo Pinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrew Murdock in the 52nd minute of play. With a little luck, Jovens Democratas MZC's Murillo Pinho got control of the ball when Andrew Murdock tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andrew Murdock in the 55th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Murillo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murillo Pinho came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by 14. Durban Hammerheads's Andrew Murdock. But to his dismay, Andrew Murdock quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. In the 62nd minute of the match, Andrew Murdock got a very nice opportunity to score, but Murillo Pinho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Murillo Pinho made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Andrew Murdock sent off a good shot on target. Paul Leese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vivaldo Rodrigues in the 65th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Ward in the 67th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Murillo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Murillo Pinho made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Andrew Murdock sent off a good shot on target. 70 minutes into the match, 14. Durban Hammerheads's Andrew Murdock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Murillo Pinho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 71 minutes into the match, 14. Durban Hammerheads's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Ramos came free, but Paul Leese reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Murillo Pinho was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Andrew Murdock showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 74 minute of play. Jovens Democratas MZC's Frederico Britto was substituted for Percival Mangueira. Jovens Democratas MZC made a substitution. Benjamin Alagoano replaced Charles Eger. Jovens Democratas MZC's Duarte de Castro was substituted for Vivaldo Rodrigues. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrew Murdock in the 79th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murillo Pinho saved Jovens Democratas MZC from getting behind. 14. Durban Hammerheads's Andrew Murdock got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Murillo Pinho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrew Murdock in the 91st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Ward in the 97th minute of play forced Jovens Democratas MZC's goalkeeper Murillo Pinho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If David Ward had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The 14. Durban Hammerheads supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing 14. Durban Hammerheads would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
