Andreas Lindqvist came out and tried to block the shot, but Mikael Meck slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 10th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Vykans Vikingar's Leonardo Trancoso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronny Westerberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Vykans Vikingar's Andreas Lindqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save Vykans Vikingar from getting a goal against them. After 20 minutes Vykans Vikingar's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hans Svensson who took care of the corner kick. In the 20th minute, Mårten Abrahamsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, Fabian Dahlquist cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Ronny Westerberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 26 minutes into the match, Vykans Vikingar's goalkeeper Andreas Lindqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mårten Abrahamsson. Ronny Westerberg came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Vykans Vikingar's Leonardo Trancoso. But to his dismay, Leonardo Trancoso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Ronny Westerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabian Dahlquist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 32nd minute, one of Melchester Rovers:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Melchester Rovers. Ronny Westerberg went to the wrong direction when Otto Alberg was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. In the 35th minute, Otto Alberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronny Westerberg was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Vykans Vikingar's Andreas Lindqvist proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Vykans Vikingar from getting a goal against them. Ronny Westerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Otto Alberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Hílton Souza fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vykans Vikingar's protests and gave Hílton Souza a yellow card for diving instead. Hílton Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. After the first half Vykans Vikingar were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mikael Meck stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Melchester Rovers's Ronny Westerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Otto Alberg in the 50th minute of play. With a little luck, Melchester Rovers's Ronny Westerberg got control of the ball when Otto Alberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Melchester Rovers's Ronny Westerberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Melchester Rovers from getting a goal against them. Vykans Vikingar's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Otto Alberg in the 59th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Ove Skålberg heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Ronny Westerberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Otto Alberg in the 65th minute. With an all-out effort, Vykans Vikingar's Ronny Westerberg threw himself towards the right post 66 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ove Skålberg, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Otto Alberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vykans Vikingar's Håkan Kjellman was substituted for Leonardo Trancoso. Andreas Lindqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mårten Abrahamsson in the 76th minute of the match. Melchester Rovers's Ronny Westerberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Melchester Rovers from getting a goal against them. Andreas Lindqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucas Langoni in the 84th minute of the match. In the 88th match minute, Melchester Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mårten Abrahamsson to maneuver through the defense. Fabian Dahlquist blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ronny Westerberg having to make a save. Through an outstanding action, after 89 minutes, Ronny Westerberg successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Håkan Kjellman might have been able to make a better finish in the 93rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ronny Westerberg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Håkan Kjellman ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Vykans Vikingar getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Christoffer Johansson hit a great ball. The Vykans Vikingar players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
