The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sherwood Mercer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Merrill Justice, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Kasey Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bron SK 1959's supporters rose to their feet, but Kasey Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Owen Baker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 12 played minutes Miami Gators got a freekick which was hit by Markus Harding. Trey Abrams struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Owen Baker didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bron SK 1959. After a rather tough play, Miami Gators's Jeremy Hackett got a free kick in the 17th minute. Merrill Justice blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sherwood Mercer having to make a save. After having played for 22 minutes, Milo Winn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Miami Gators's supporters crossed their fingers, but Milo Winn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sherwood Mercer made a fantastic save in the 27th minute, when Milo Winn sent off a good shot on target. In the 28th match minute, Miami Gators was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Merrill Justice to maneuver through the defense. Warren Renteria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Owen Baker having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Miami Gators's Jacob Knapp got a free kick in the 32nd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Milo Winn got free with Sherwood Mercer in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Miami Gators's Merrill Justice slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Sherwood Mercer. That made the score 1-0 after 41 minutes of play. 47 minutes into the game, Merrill Justice recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Sherwood Mercer. Merrill Justice showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kasey Guerra to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Miami Gators's Bart Cartwright nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sherwood Mercer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Merrill Justice in the 61st minute of play forced Bron SK 1959's goalkeeper Sherwood Mercer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Bron SK 1959's Jaime Greer got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Bron SK 1959's goal looked a bit too open when Jacob Knapp came free, but Sherwood Mercer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bart Cartwright kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Jacob Knapp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sherwood Mercer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. After some careless play in the Bron SK 1959 defense, Jacob Knapp kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sherwood Mercer. The Bron SK 1959 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sherwood Mercer should have stopped the shot. Sherwood Mercer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Milo Winn, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Sherwood Mercer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Milo Winn's shot from short distance in the 90th minute.
