After 8 played minutes, Zeus AC's Osvaldo Pelagius shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Samuel Gaitano came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Zeus AC reached it. 11 minutes into the match, EL MAGO DE OZ's Alberto Chepe sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Serafino Palben narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th match minute, EL MAGO DE OZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dante Micael to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes Zeus AC got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Horado. Enrique Elija's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Serafino Palben - 0-1 was put on the score board in the 31st minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Zeus AC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of EL MAGO DE OZ:s goal. In the 41st minute, Zeus AC's Justino Izotz ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Samuel Gaitano. Samuel Gaitano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Arnoldo Librado hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Alberto Chepe's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Serafino Palben was relentless in the 50th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberto Chepe to strike the kick off in the second half. When Jeronimo Aballe fell near the penalty area in the 55th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zeus AC's protests and gave Jeronimo Aballe a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of EL MAGO DE OZ booed when Zeus AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeronimo Aballe didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zeus AC's goalkeeper Serafino Palben, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 63 minutes into the game, Matias Menendo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Serafino Palben was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Genaro Lamberto struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Samuel Gaitano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Zeus AC. In the 69th minute Justino Izotz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samuel Gaitano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Samuel Gaitano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Izotz in the 74th minute of play. Justino Izotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Samuel Gaitano having to interfere. If Genaro Lamberto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Zeus AC's zone, Matias Menendo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serafino Palben came out of the goal and Matias Menendo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aaron Francesco's late challenge caught a Zeus AC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Francesco helped the player get up and apologised. Aaron Francesco hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Samuel Gaitano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Genaro Lamberto in the 92nd minute of the match. Zeus AC's Genaro Lamberto got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Matias Menendo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Alberto Chepe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serafino Palben having to interfere. EL MAGO DE OZ's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
