Generoso Ihazintu made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Anastasio Criston sent off a good shot on target. Iker Libertad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldo Tohias in the 9th minute of play. In the 10thth minute of the game Baldomero Ignazio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Deportivo Wallace's Iker Libertad was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Generoso Ihazintu made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Tomás Jurgi sent off a good shot on target. 17 minutes into the match, Anastasio Criston dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Generoso Ihazintu, 1-0. Osvaldo Tohias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Generoso Ihazintu made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Tomás Jurgi sent off a good shot on target. Osvaldo Tohias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Iker Libertad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Osvaldo Tohias ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Iker Libertad was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Iker Libertad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Ignazio in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Osvaldo Tohias in the 37th minute of play forced Deportivo Wallace's goalkeeper Iker Libertad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tomás Jurgi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Generoso Ihazintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Osvaldo Tohias made the kick off in the second half. Iker Libertad made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Baldomero Ignazio sent off a good shot on target. Benjamin Machado's late challenge caught a Deportivo Wallace's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Benjamin Machado helped the player get up and apologised. Osvaldo Tohias's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iker Libertad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. If Osvaldo Tohias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Deportivo Wallace's Iker Libertad played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Tohias in the 72nd minute of play. In the 74th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Wallace's goalkeeper Iker Libertad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iker Libertad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Tohias, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. In the 86th minute Anastasio Criston shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Ihazintu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With an all-out effort, V.Lynch's Iker Libertad threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Osvaldo Tohias, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Tomás Jurgi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Generoso Ihazintu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in V.Lynch's zone, Tomás Jurgi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Generoso Ihazintu came out of the goal and Tomás Jurgi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
