The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olliver Vanbuyten during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Olliver Vanbuyten hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Botello in the 14th minute of play forced Lions United's goalkeeper Stephan Vanden Driessche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dany-Adams Gijselinckx recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute, Torsten Abelsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stephan Vanden Driessche was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Torsten Abelsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stephan Vanden Driessche having to make a save. Stephan Vanden Driessche showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Abelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. In the 34th minute, Fabio Botello made a precise shot to the right of Stephan Vanden Driessche. Lions United's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 37 minutes into the game, Beek City's Torsten Abelsson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stephan Vanden Driessche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. Stephan Vanden Driessche came out of the goal in the 43rd minute to try and stop a shot by Beek City's Enrico Romanese. But to his dismay, Enrico Romanese quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torsten Abelsson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Torsten Abelsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stephan Vanden Driessche having to make a save. Steve De Wilde showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dany-Adams Gijselinckx, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. In the 62nd minute Dany-Adams Gijselinckx shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Steve De Wilde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Steve De Wilde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rudy Smolders in the 65th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Beek City's Torsten Abelsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stephan Vanden Driessche. That made the score 0-8 after 69 minutes of play. Stephan Vanden Driessche showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torsten Abelsson in the 72nd minute of the match. Steve De Wilde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roland De Wulf in the 77th minute of play. Stephan Vanden Driessche made a fantastic save in the 87th minute, when Fabio Botello sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torsten Abelsson in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stephan Vanden Driessche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Torsten Abelsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stephan Vanden Driessche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Torsten Abelsson in the 95th minute of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Beek City eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
