Esquirla FC's Michel Čech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Esquirla FC from getting a goal against them. Beek City's Steve De Wilde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlo Arruta in the 8th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim Tsigalko in the 10th minute of play forced Beek City's goalkeeper Steve De Wilde to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Steve De Wilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxim Tsigalko in the 15th minute of the match. Michel Čech came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Beek City's Ke Jian Yun. But to his dismay, Ke Jian Yun quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 21st minute, Enrico Romanese fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Michel Čech, passed just outside the right post. Steve De Wilde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlo Arruta in the 25th minute of the match. 28 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Abelsson came free, but Michel Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arlo Arruta came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Esquirla FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arlo Arruta couldn't finish the play. In the 36th match minute, Beek City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgard Magdaleno to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Torsten Abelsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Beek City's supporters rose to their feet, but Torsten Abelsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Michel Čech breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arlo Arruta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Esquirla FC's goal looked a bit too open when Torsten Abelsson came free, but Michel Čech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Michel Čech showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torsten Abelsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Torsten Abelsson was the one to do the kick off.
