Selebi-Phikwe were awarded a corner in the 4th minute after Lions United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Vlad Tudose took the corner. Victor Lundqvist could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Stephan Vanden Driessche made a huge save. A nice corner shot did that Victor Lundqvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stephan Vanden Driessche quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 14 minutes into the game, Selebi-Phikwe's Johnathan Bowden nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Stephan Vanden Driessche made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 16thth minute of the game Johnathan Bowden who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lions United's Stephan Vanden Driessche was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 17 minutes of play, Selebi-Phikwe's Victor Lundqvist made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Stephan Vanden Driessche was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Lions United defense, Johnathan Bowden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stephan Vanden Driessche. The Lions United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stephan Vanden Driessche should have stopped the shot. Stephan Vanden Driessche came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Selebi-Phikwe's Johnathan Bowden. But to his dismay, Johnathan Bowden quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. The supporters of Lions United booed when Selebi-Phikwe was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Per-Oskar Anundsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th match minute, Selebi-Phikwe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Per-Oskar Anundsson to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Vlad Tudose hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Victor Lundqvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With 41 minutes on the clock, Olliver Vanbuyten commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Lions United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 40th minute. Penalty! In the 43rd minute, Selebi-Phikwe got a penalty, and Vlad Tudose placed the ball unsaveable into goal, by the right post. 46 minutes into the match, Johnathan Bowden dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Stephan Vanden Driessche, 7-0.

In the 51st minute Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Vanden Driessche saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Victor Lundqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Selebi-Phikwe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. In the 63rd minute, Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stephan Vanden Driessche was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. Lions United's Stephan Vanden Driessche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rafik Oliwa in the 66th minute of play. Fernand Spailer came free with the goalkeeper in the 69th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Christof Deroek could save by the left post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Stephan Vanden Driessche prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Victor Lundqvist came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Selebi-Phikwe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Lundqvist couldn't finish the play. Stephan Vanden Driessche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers in the 75th minute of play. After some careless play in the Lions United defense, Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stephan Vanden Driessche. The Lions United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stephan Vanden Driessche should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Selebi-Phikwe getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Victor Lundqvist hit a great ball. Victor Lundqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Stephan Vanden Driessche tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 83rd play minutes Victor Lundqvist shot 11-0, a short shot which went by Stephan Vanden Driessche and just under the crossbar into goal. Stephan Vanden Driessche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnathan Bowden went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 12-0 was the resulting score. Stephan Vanden Driessche made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Johnathan Bowden in the 90th minute of play. Stephan Vanden Driessche took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stephan Vanden Driessche came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Selebi-Phikwe's Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers. But to his dismay, Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 13-0.
