Olliver Vanbuyten kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Lions United's goal looked a bit too open when Johnathan Bowden came free, but Stephan Vanden Driessche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Lions United defense, Johnathan Bowden kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stephan Vanden Driessche. The Lions United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stephan Vanden Driessche should have stopped the shot. Stephan Vanden Driessche didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Johnathan Bowden went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Lions United's Stephan Vanden Driessche played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Lundqvist in the 22nd minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Lions United's goal looked a bit too open when Victor Lundqvist came free, but Stephan Vanden Driessche reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Selebi-Phikwe's Johnathan Bowden sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Stephan Vanden Driessche narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Selebi-Phikwe's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vlad Tudose in the 34th minute. A nice corner shot did that Vlad Tudose got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Stephan Vanden Driessche quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Johnathan Bowden took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Stephan Vanden Driessche to make any attempt to save it. Selebi-Phikwe's Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers was substituted for Marc Thidén. Christof Deroek came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Lions United's Dany-Adams Gijselinckx. But to his dismay, Dany-Adams Gijselinckx quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-10. 89 minutes into the game, Johnathan Bowden cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-11. Stephan Vanden Driessche was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Johnathan Bowden in the 92nd minute of play forced Lions United's goalkeeper Stephan Vanden Driessche to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Lions United's Stephan Vanden Driessche got control of the ball when Per-Oskar Anundsson tried to sneak it across the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Louis-Philippe Pelsmaeckers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Stephan Vanden Driessche.
