The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Michel Čech showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Maxim Tsigalko might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christiaan Van Laer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maxim Tsigalko ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, FC Ouagadougou National's Christiaan Van Laer got control of the ball when Maxim Tsigalko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Esquirla FC's Michel Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nico Biermans in the 8th minute of play. If Pieter-Jan Rummens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Maxim Tsigalko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Christiaan Van Laer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxim Tsigalko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christiaan Van Laer having to interfere. 23 minutes into the game, Maxim Tsigalko recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Christiaan Van Laer. Maxim Tsigalko showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Christiaan Van Laer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maxim Tsigalko in the 27th minute of the match. In the 30thth minute of the game Maxim Tsigalko who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Ouagadougou National's Christiaan Van Laer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 33 minutes FC Ouagadougou National's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Francisco-Javier Campo who took care of the corner kick. After 35 played minutes FC Ouagadougou National got a freekick which was hit by Armand Owerckx. With his leg Christiaan Van Laer managed to avoid a goal in the 36thth minute, when Esquirla FC's Maxim Tsigalko fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Maxim Tsigalko might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Christiaan Van Laer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Maxim Tsigalko ran back to his position shaking his head. Christiaan Van Laer was out of position in the 43 minute of play, and Maxim Tsigalko capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Maxim Tsigalko really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Maxim Tsigalko to strike the kick off in the second half. Robbe Van Der Taelen made in the 51st minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Pieter-Jan Rummens. 55 minutes into the match, Maxim Tsigalko notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of FC Ouagadougou National's Christiaan Van Laer. Christiaan Van Laer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Esquirla FC made a substitution. Yvan Maes replaced Oscar Van Aerschot. 59 minutes into the game, Esquirla FC's Maxim Tsigalko nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christiaan Van Laer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Christiaan Van Laer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maxim Tsigalko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 67th minute, Maxim Tsigalko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Esquirla FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Maxim Tsigalko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maxim Tsigalko in the 70th minute of play forced FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Christiaan Van Laer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ouagadougou National's goalkeeper Christiaan Van Laer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Esquirla FC booed when FC Ouagadougou National was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. The tension between the FC Ouagadougou National and the Esquirla FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to FC Ouagadougou National getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Nico Biermans hit a great ball. Christiaan Van Laer came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Esquirla FC's Arlo Arruta. But to his dismay, Arlo Arruta quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. FC Ouagadougou National's Christiaan Van Laer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlo Arruta in the 87th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Arlo Arruta managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esquirla FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arlo Arruta was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christiaan Van Laer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christiaan Van Laer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arlo Arruta in the 90th minute of play. The supporters of FC Ouagadougou National booed when Esquirla FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heintje Gamarra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michel Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Diego Alaerts, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Esquirla FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
