Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 9 minutes into the game, GeRaÇãO-83's Waldir Urbano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronny Westerberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 14th minute GeRaÇãO-83 were awarded a corner. Nuh Özgunes went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led to GeRaÇãO-83's Cristiano Faria getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Ronny Westerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Waldir Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 17th minute Cristiano Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Westerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Mårten Abrahamsson came free, but Jesper Tomasson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 22nd minute Waldir Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Westerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Waldir Urbano's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronny Westerberg was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Stig Vikström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jesper Tomasson having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Waldir Urbano got free with Ronny Westerberg in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 95th minute Cristiano Faria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronny Westerberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Chants of GeRaÇãO-83 echoed around the stadium as the match drew to a close. Supporters and players were both delighted with the win, as Melchester Rovers had held the ball for most of the match.
