Renan Melo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gonçalo Catarinense went, in the 17th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Gonçalo Catarinenses short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Renan Melo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gonçalo Catarinense got free with Renan Melo in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Charlie Boström in the 26th minute of play forced PALMEIRAS-UTAH's goalkeeper Brett Hart to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Renan Melo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A.A. Francana's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
