When Mårten Abrahamsson came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Melchester Rovers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mårten Abrahamsson couldn't finish the play. Hampus Enegren made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Mårten Abrahamsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 25th minute, Melchester Rovers's Mikael Meck dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. In the 28th minute, Mårten Abrahamsson made a precise shot to the right of Hampus Enegren. Goteborg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-0. After 31 played minutes Melchester Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Örjan Kvick. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Tony Johansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Goteborg's supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Johansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronny Westerberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mikael Meck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hampus Enegren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mikael Meck's shot from short distance in the 62nd minute. After a rather tough play, Melchester Rovers's Ian Ekenberg got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Claudio Guerrero kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 66 minutes into the match, Goteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Stig Vikström came free, but Hampus Enegren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hampus Enegren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mårten Abrahamsson in the 68th minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Mikael Meck notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Goteborg's Hampus Enegren. Hampus Enegren was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. David Västerberg was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 73 minutes into the match. Stig Vikström took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hampus Enegren. Hampus Enegren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 6-0. In the 92nd minute, Mikael Meck made a precise shot to the right of Hampus Enegren. Goteborg's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 7-0.
