Simão Valladares kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Blumenau Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donato Mazza to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Fábio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Etor in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes into the match, Eliseo Etor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luiz Fábio Leite. Blumenau Esporte Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Eliseo Etor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 22nd match minute, C.A. Itajaí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jarbas Faria to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, C.A. Itajaí's João Vítor Hoffmann got a free kick in the 27th minute. In the 28th minute of the match Lucas Faria sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Artur Pernambucano skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Dário Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. Itajaí's supporters rose to their feet, but Dário Mesquita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luiz Fábio Leite breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luiz Fábio Leite showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedykt Kasprzak in the 36th minute of the match. Ademir Barral, 38 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Artur Pernambucano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cássio Tepedino in the 40th minute of the match. Simão Valladares hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. In the 42nd minute of the match Jarbas Faria shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Luiz Fábio Leite showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dário Mesquita in the 46th minute of play. If Benedykt Kasprzak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Cássio Tepedino made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Blumenau Esporte Clube's Luiz Fábio Leite got control of the ball when Dário Mesquita tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benedykt Kasprzak in the 59th minute of play forced Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Luiz Fábio Leite managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when C.A. Itajaí's Dário Mesquita fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, C.A. Itajaí's Dário Mesquita got a free kick in the 81st minute. 84 minutes into the match, Blumenau Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luiz Fábio Leite had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eliseo Etor. Alfredo Barbosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Luiz Fábio Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Dário Mesquita managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. When the match clock showed 92 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Alfredo Barbosa sped through Blumenau Esporte Clube's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Luiz Fábio Leite. C.A. Itajaí's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
