Ronaldinho de Senna started the match with the kick off. Geraldo Trancoso made in the 10th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Real Mente Burro's Samuel Marques. Doriva Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Roberto Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva Carvalho having to interfere. In the 23rd minute George Apelqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doriva Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Apelqvist in the 28th minute of play. Umberto Cardozo charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Umberto Cardozo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th minute, Umberto Cardozo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Maurinho Mandrak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Real Mente Burro's supporters rose to their feet, but Maurinho Mandrak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Doriva Carvalho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 30th minute Maurinho Mandrak shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Doriva Carvalho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes had been played when some careless play by Caxinha F. C.'s defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Roberto Simão was slow to take the kick. During this time Real Mente Burro's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Real Mente Burro's Roberto Simão to fire away a dangerous shot which Doriva Carvalho despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roberto Simão in the 35th minute of play forced Caxinha F. C.'s goalkeeper Doriva Carvalho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doriva Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roberto Simão in the 39th minute of play. After 41 played minutes Real Mente Burro got a freekick which was hit by Oswald Winnepennincx. Doriva Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Roberto Simão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Caxinha F. C.'s Geraldo Trancoso got a free kick in the 45th minute. Caxinha F. C.'s Doriva Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by George Apelqvist in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for George Apelqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. When Maurinho Mandrak came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Real Mente Burro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Maurinho Mandrak couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the match, Caxinha F. C.'s goalkeeper Doriva Carvalho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Simão. If Maurinho Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Doriva Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Oswald Winnepennincx in the 71st minute of play. Cauã Lopes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delfim Arruda, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Hélio Moraes hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Doriva Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Apelqvist in the 79th minute of play. George Apelqvist recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 90th minute, Hélio Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Simão was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 91st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Doriva Carvalho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Apelqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. When the match was over Real Mente Burro could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Caxinha F. C. throughout the match.
