Frank Donato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 2nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a little luck, Uberlandia-DMZ's Zé Augusto Duarte got control of the ball when Frank Donato tried to sneak it across the goal line. Frank Donato received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Zé Augusto Duarte came out and tried to block the shot, but Frank Donato slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 6th minute. Dário de Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristo Videl's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. 14 minutes into the match, Uberlandia-DMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Frank Donato came free, but Zé Augusto Duarte reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário de Godoi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristo Videl's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. Zé Augusto Duarte showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aaron Shepherd in the 19th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Aaron Shepherd in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Zé Augusto Duarte saved Uberlandia-DMZ from getting behind. In the 26th minute Cristo Videl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Narciso Zonta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dário de Godoi was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Aracatiara EC's Dário de Godoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristo Videl in the 31st minute of play. In the 32nd minute of the match Uberlandia-DMZ got a corner. Aracatiara EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Pontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Samuel Pontes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Aracatiara EC's Dário de Godoi did a great save. Dário de Godoi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Videl in the 36th minute of play. Uberlandia-DMZ's Narciso Zonta suffered a concussion in the 37th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. 37 minutes into the game, Leonel Pinheiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aracatiara EC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Uberlandia-DMZ the free kick. A collision led to Aracatiara EC getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Leonel Pinheiro hit a great ball. In the 39th minute, Aaron Shepherd made a precise shot to the right of Zé Augusto Duarte. Uberlandia-DMZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Cristo Videl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute Luiz Fabiano Trigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dário de Godoi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Aaron Shepherd to make the kick off. In the 51stth minute of the game Aaron Shepherd who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Uberlandia-DMZ's Zé Augusto Duarte was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Dário de Godoi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristo Videl in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute of the match Uberlandia-DMZ got a corner. Aracatiara EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Samuel Pontes ran over to the corner to take the kick. Alfons Hallgren was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. In the 55th minute, Cássio de Moraes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Augusto Duarte came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Aracatiara EC's Abel de Senna. But to his dismay, Abel de Senna quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 71 minutes, Frank Donato mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aracatiara EC and the Uberlandia-DMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. Leonel Pinheiro hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Luiz Fabiano Trigo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uberlandia-DMZ's supporters rose to their feet, but Luiz Fabiano Trigo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dário de Godoi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dário de Godoi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fabiano Trigo, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Samuel Pontes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. In the 96th match minute, Aracatiara EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Donato to maneuver through the defense. Cássio de Moraes hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Samuel Pontes was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 98th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Aracatiara EC players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
