Spectators: 7199 (Terracing: 5401, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) ESMERALDA F.C.'s Fabian Demario started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Fabian Demario had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 minutes, Freddy Lorien mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Al Mualim FC and the ESMERALDA F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 7 played minutes Al Mualim FC got a freekick which was hit by Freddy Lorien. Tobias Paio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Ciro Gartxot made a huge save. Luis Celipe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfonso Peli, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Teodoro Lleir during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, ESMERALDA F.C.'s Teodoro Lleir got a free kick in the 13th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Feliberto Artizar in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luis Celipe saved ESMERALDA F.C. from getting behind. Al Mualim FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Fabian Demario 18 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Luis Celipe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Feliberto Artizar in the 21st minute of play. Alfonso Peli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Luis Celipe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodoro Lleir kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Al Mualim FC's Feliberto Artizar got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alfonso Peli struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Luis Celipe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Al Mualim FC. Luis Celipe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Feliberto Artizar in the 30th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Feliberto Artizar put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Luis Celipe. Luis Celipe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Feliberto Artizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfonso Peli was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfonso Peli in the 53rd minute of play forced ESMERALDA F.C.'s goalkeeper Luis Celipe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tobias Paio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Gartxot having to interfere. Tobias Paio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Al Mualim FC's zone, Tobias Paio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ciro Gartxot came out of the goal and Tobias Paio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Tobias Paio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Al Mualim FC's Ciro Gartxot played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tobias Paio in the 76th minute of play. Alfonso Peli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Feliberto Artizar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd match minute, ESMERALDA F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Ovando to maneuver through the defense. Luis Celipe was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Freddy Lorien. After a rather tough play, ESMERALDA F.C.'s Hector Ovando got a free kick in the 93rd minute. An unexpected shot in the 96th minute by Feliberto Artizar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
