The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, DORTMUND's Kevin Gottmann got control of the ball when Mario Neumann tried to sneak it across the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in DORTMUND reached it. Udo Giehl's late challenge caught a DORTMUND's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Udo Giehl helped the player get up and apologised. Udo Giehl kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice moves Mario Neumann could shoot a difficult shot in the 13th minute, which Kevin Gottmann however easily saved by the left post. 14 minutes into the match, DORTMUND's Murat Grotthaus sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bastian Abel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mario Neumann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Kevin Gottmann made a huge save. DORTMUND's Kevin Gottmann proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 19th minute of the match, managed to save DORTMUND from getting a goal against them. Bastian Abel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murat Grotthaus in the 41st minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Eisenberg's Mario Neumann got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Ronnie Hinrichsen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bastian Abel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. Mario Neumann hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Eisenberg's Udo Giehl slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kevin Gottmann. That made the score 1-0 after 47 minutes of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Eisenberg's goalkeeper Bastian Abel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to DORTMUND getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Nino Haag hit a great ball. Kevin Gottmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Neumann in the 62nd minute of play. When the match clock showed 62 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Mario Neumann sped through DORTMUND's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kevin Gottmann. 65 minutes into the match, DORTMUND's goal looked a bit too open when Udo Giehl came free, but Kevin Gottmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kevin Gottmann made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Neumann in the 68th minute of play. In the 70th match minute, DORTMUND was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nino Haag to maneuver through the defense. Kevin Gottmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Udo Giehl in the 74th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in DORTMUND's zone, Luka Peters stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kevin Gottmann came out of the goal and Luka Peters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kevin Gottmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Udo Giehl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 84th minute, Andre Schiltz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of FC Eisenberg booed when DORTMUND was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nino Haag didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 90th minute, Murat Grotthaus got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 91 minutes into the game, FC Eisenberg's Mario Neumann nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kevin Gottmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 96th minute, Maximilian Winkelsett left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Eisenberg fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. FC Eisenberg walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
