Fredric Ahlén showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Meck in the 23rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mårten Abrahamsson in the 28th minute of play forced Finninge Fotboll's goalkeeper Fredric Ahlén to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With an all-out effort, Finninge Fotboll's Ronny Westerberg threw himself towards the right post 55 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Germán Kanø, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fredric Ahlén didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mikael Meck went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. In the 61st match minute, Melchester Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mårten Abrahamsson to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Melchester Rovers's Ronny Westerberg got control of the ball when Germán Kanø tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 65th minute Finninge Fotboll were awarded a corner. Henning Kempf went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Henning Kempf almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Melchester Rovers's Ronny Westerberg did a great save. In the 70th minute Stig Vikström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredric Ahlén saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Germán Kanø got free with Ronny Westerberg in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 76 played minutes Melchester Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Eric Pettersson. For all the effort they put into the match, the Finninge Fotboll players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Melchester Rovers.
