Rashad Hewitt's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Danny Tang read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. Josiah Mims received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Grady Barnes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johnathan Kane during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hood River AFC booed when PEEKSKILL RED DEVIL F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Johnathan Kane didn't get a good kick on the ball. Grady Barnes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josiah Mims, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danny Tang showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Forrest Cho, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. If Forrest Cho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 29 minutes into the match, Hood River AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Forrest Cho came free, but Danny Tang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rashad Hewitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. PEEKSKILL RED DEVIL F.C.'s Grady Barnes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josiah Mims in the 46th minute of play. In the 49th minute Josiah Mims shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grady Barnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Forrest Cho stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 59th match minute, Hood River AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ethan Matthews to maneuver through the defense. When Rashad Hewitt came up free with the goalie in the 61st minute, the PEEKSKILL RED DEVIL F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rashad Hewitt couldn't finish the play. 65 minutes into the game, Richie Banks was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. PEEKSKILL RED DEVIL F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hood River AFC the free kick. After 65 played minutes PEEKSKILL RED DEVIL F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Richie Banks. Grady Barnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donnie Herring in the 77th minute of play. 87 minutes into the match, Hood River AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Rashad Hewitt came free, but Danny Tang reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 93rd minute, Al Dobbins fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. If Josiah Mims had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
