Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Rich Lawson got the match started through his kick off. In the 4th minute, Rashad Hewitt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute Rashad Hewitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erik Cabrera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erik Cabrera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rashad Hewitt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 13 minutes into the match, Waialua's goal looked a bit too open when Forrest Cho came free, but Erik Cabrera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Forrest Cho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Grady Barnes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rich Lawson, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Forrest Cho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Erik Cabrera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Bruce Singer came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Waialua fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruce Singer couldn't finish the play. When Forrest Cho fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PEEKSKILL RED DEVIL F.C.'s protests and gave Forrest Cho a yellow card for diving instead. Grady Barnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rich Lawson in the 38th minute of play. A collision led to Waialua getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Bruce Singer hit a great ball. Waialua's Earl Strange shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 44th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Grady Barnes but with some difficulty. PEEKSKILL RED DEVIL F.C.'s defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Rich Lawson scored to the left of an out of position Grady Barnes, making the score, 1-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Forrest Cho was the one to do the kick off. Erik Cabrera made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Rashad Hewitt sent off a good shot on target. If Bruce Singer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Grady Barnes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rich Lawson in the 57th minute of play. Richie Banks kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. In the 59th minute of the match Isaiah Cotton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Grady Barnes skillfully saved the ball. In the 64th minute Bruce Singer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Grady Barnes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Waialua's goalkeeper Erik Cabrera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rashad Hewitt. Richie Banks hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute of the match Isaiah Cotton sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Grady Barnes skillfully saved the ball. Rashad Hewitt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Erik Cabrera made a huge save. Bruce Singer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Grady Barnes having to interfere. A collision led to PEEKSKILL RED DEVIL F.C. getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Richie Banks hit a great ball. In the 83rd minute of the match Isaiah Cotton shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Grady Barnes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 87 minutes into the match, Waialua's Rich Lawson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Grady Barnes narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erik Cabrera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Forrest Cho in the 88th minute of play. 90 minutes into the game, Bruce Singer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Grady Barnes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Grady Barnes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruce Singer in the 94th minute of the match. After some careless play in the PEEKSKILL RED DEVIL F.C. defense, Bruce Singer kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Grady Barnes. The PEEKSKILL RED DEVIL F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Grady Barnes should have stopped the shot. Waialua's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
