Antonio Sorriva came out and tried to block the shot, but Runar Øyen slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 41st minute. After some careless play in the Sociedad Anónima defense, Fanuco Mantilla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Antonio Sorriva. The Sociedad Anónima fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Antonio Sorriva should have stopped the shot. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Velasco Rollan to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manga Pequeño in the 57th minute of play forced Sociedad Anónima's goalkeeper Antonio Sorriva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Sociedad Anónima booed when Chivito CorreYuta F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Velasco Rollan took a quick shot and it went in 3-4 without a chance for Barış İdilkurt to make any attempt to save it. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Runar Øyen in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonio Sorriva saved Sociedad Anónima from getting behind. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Runar Øyen put it in 4-4 from a short distance just to the right of Antonio Sorriva. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
