After a defensive mix-up in Rancul's zone, Esteve Rosio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Berriotxoa came out of the goal and Esteve Rosio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ildefonso Hanot came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the MOE SATIVA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ildefonso Hanot couldn't finish the play. Cornel Pencu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Alfonso, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Rancul's Hermengildo Laurgain got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Hipolito Alfonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After the first half Rancul were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ildefonso Hanot stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vela Mancina struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Gabriel Berriotxoa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MOE SATIVA. The supporters of MOE SATIVA booed when Rancul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marciano Unai didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 77th minute, Hermengildo Laurgain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew the final whistle jeers and boos were heard from the home team's supporters. They were angered to see MOE SATIVA lose a match they had controlled from the kick-off.
