Thanks to some nice moves Anibal Lauren could shoot a difficult shot in the 23rd minute, which Generoso Abancens however easily saved by the left post. Urbano Haitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alonzo Macerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute, Hilario Iigo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Generoso Abancens, passed just outside the right post. The supporters of Central Academia booed when Punua was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alonzo Macerio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute of the match, Hilario Iigo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Generoso Abancens saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 48th minute Hilario Iigo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Generoso Abancens saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurelio Belasko made a kick off.
