Reaktor Göteborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mark Lindqvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mark Lindqvist didn't have the luck on his side when he, from a short distance, got a opportunity for a shot on goal in the 8th minute. The shot missed the goal on the right side and Mark Lindqvist ran dejectedly back to his position. Mark Lindqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hampus Åström having to interfere. If Magne Hellbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Finspång's goal looked a bit too open when Mark Lindqvist came free, but Hampus Åström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Magne Hellbom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Hampus Åström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hampus Åström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mark Lindqvist in the 21st minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Finspång's goalkeeper Hampus Åström had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Magne Hellbom. Magne Hellbom succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 24th playminute. Finspång's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Mark Lindqvist 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. In the 31st minute, Kurt Sundström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kurt Sundström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mark Lindqvist fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hampus Åström having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Magne Hellbom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hampus Åström. Finspång's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magne Hellbom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Arne Ödman made a kick off. Arne Ödman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Myr having to interfere. Olov Brander kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Tom Myr was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Oskar Juhlin. Arne Ödman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Myr having to interfere. After having played for 66 minutes, Magne Hellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Mark Lindqvist came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Reaktor Göteborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mark Lindqvist couldn't finish the play. When Olov Brander fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Reaktor Göteborg's protests and gave Olov Brander a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Olov Brander hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 72nd minute, Oskar Juhlin fired a really elegant long shot, but Tom Myr threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. In the 83rd minute, Arne Ödman fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Tom Myr, passed just outside the right post. Finspång's Kurt Sundström got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 87 played minutes Reaktor Göteborg got a freekick which was hit by Olov Brander. Tom Myr stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arne Ödman's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Kurt Sundström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
