Funäsdalen IFK's Ronny Strömberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mark Lindqvist in the 3rd minute of play. A collision led to Reaktor Göteborg getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Mark Lindqvist hit a great ball. Markus Bolander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tom Myr having to interfere. After 10 minutes, Olov Brander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reaktor Göteborg and the Funäsdalen IFK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Reaktor Göteborg's Tom Myr proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 16th minute of the match, managed to save Reaktor Göteborg from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Funäsdalen IFK's zone, Robert Åhman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronny Strömberg came out of the goal and Robert Åhman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Reaktor Göteborg's Magne Hellbom in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After having played for 43 minutes, Magne Hellbom managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Reaktor Göteborg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Magne Hellbom was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Harry Håkansson came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Reaktor Göteborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harry Håkansson couldn't finish the play. Magnus Deckbergh hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Mark Lindqvist took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronny Strömberg. Ronny Strömberg dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Robert Åhman's late challenge caught a Funäsdalen IFK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robert Åhman helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Reaktor Göteborg's Robert Åhman got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Reaktor Göteborg's Tom Myr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ulf Berggren in the 64th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Mark Lindqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 70th minute Ulf Berggren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tom Myr saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ulf Berggren's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Tom Myr read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 75th minute of play. 78 minutes into the match, Magne Hellbom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ronny Strömberg. Funäsdalen IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Magne Hellbom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Tom Myr stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Markus Bolander's shot from short distance in the 91st minute. In the 94th minute, Ulf Berggren got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Reaktor Göteborg had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
