After 23 minutes Dhafnospiliá BC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hans Svensson who took care of the corner kick. Ronny Westerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicasio Guijarro in the 27th minute of play. In the 29th minute, Panos Telakis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dhafnospiliá BC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. In the 31st minute the ball was on its way in behind Dhafnospiliá BC's goalkeeper Nikos Tournas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nikos Tournas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mårten Abrahamsson went, in the 36th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mårten Abrahamsson got free with Nikos Tournas in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the match, Melchester Rovers's goal looked a bit too open when Petros Kalivrousis came free, but Ronny Westerberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Guijarro in the 55th minute of play forced Melchester Rovers's goalkeeper Ronny Westerberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nikos Tournas came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Melchester Rovers's Stig Vikström. But to his dismay, Stig Vikström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. Stig Vikström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronny Westerberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Guijarro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mårten Abrahamsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Nikos Tournas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nikos Tournas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Stig Vikström in the 87th minute of the match.
