A sloppy throw-in by Metin Taykurt in the 8th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Trabzonspor FC's Hazım Sadun. Abayhan Umar succeeded in the game's 9th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. In the 15th minute Abayhan Umar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Möller saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Trabzonspor FC's Abayhan Umar got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Trabzonspor FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 20th minute, when Mikail Veysel scored to the left of an out of position Meriç Bergin, making the score, 1-1. Mikail Veysel's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 23rdth minute, Meriç Bergin skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hüsrev Muhittin during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Hüsrev Muhittin hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After having played for 26 minutes, Göksun Tumbay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabzonspor FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Göksun Tumbay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trabzonspor FC's Meriç Bergin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yaser Mirkelam in the 28th minute of play. Meriç Bergin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Curcio Borrero, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Trabzonspor FC's Meriç Bergin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Trabzonspor FC from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor FC's Károly Sándor got a free kick in the 33rd minute. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Curcio Borrero took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Meriç Bergin to make any attempt to save it. Meriç Bergin made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Yaser Mirkelam sent off a good shot on target. Meriç Bergin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Curcio Borrero, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Nikola TESLA getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Metin Taykurt hit a great ball. Abayhan Umar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abayhan Umar to strike the kick off in the second half. Meriç Bergin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yaser Mirkelam in the 52nd minute of the match. A throw-in in the 60th minute of the game was made by Metin Taykurt with Mutlu Erçin as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Trabzonspor FC's Moussa Léger got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 72 played minutes Nikola TESLA got a freekick which was hit by Metin Taykurt. Meriç Bergin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mutlu Erçin, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Cristiano Valencia hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute of the match Tekin Aliyar shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Meriç Bergin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 86 minutes into the match, Nikola TESLA's goalkeeper Andreas Möller had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Abayhan Umar. In the 88th minute, Hazım Sadun hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 89 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor FC's goal looked a bit too open when Curcio Borrero came free, but Meriç Bergin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Meriç Bergin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yaser Mirkelam in the 93rd minute of play. After 93 played minutes Trabzonspor FC got a freekick which was hit by Károly Sándor. For all the effort they put into the match, the Trabzonspor FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Nikola TESLA.
