After a rather tough play, Dragon Hunter's Gaston Romelio got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 30 played minutes Academia Club got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Bartolome. Gaston Romelio hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After 44 played minutes Dragon Hunter got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Romelio. Clodoveo Pancho hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hipolito Montrel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Marco Baristo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remigio Jerano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Dragon Hunter's Hernan Ellande threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ignacio Scocco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The supporters of Academia Club booed when Dragon Hunter was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Fonda didn't get a good kick on the ball.
