The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, PITIN SPORT's Macho Thome got control of the ball when Julian Gaueko tried to sneak it across the goal line. Virgilio Rojas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Macho Thome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the game, PUNTARENENSE F.C's Vinicio Medina nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Macho Thome made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. Nistor Barbu kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Pablo Derock took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Virgilio Rojas. Virgilio Rojas dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. A collision led to PUNTARENENSE F.C getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Vinicio Medina hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, PUNTARENENSE F.C's Macho Thome threw himself towards the right post 27 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vinicio Medina, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 28 minutes into the game, Macho Madrigal recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Macho Thome. Macho Madrigal showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-1. 32 minutes into the match, Macho Madrigal notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of PITIN SPORT's Macho Thome. Macho Thome was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 36th minute Macho Madrigal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Macho Thome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the PITIN SPORT defense, Julian Gaueko kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Macho Thome. The PITIN SPORT fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Macho Thome should have stopped the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Vinicio Medina dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Macho Thome, 5-1. The long shot by 邱霆超 in the 45th minute really tested Macho Thome's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Macho Madrigal took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Macho Thome. PITIN SPORT's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 54th minute Vinicio Medina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Macho Thome saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Macho Thome took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinicio Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Macho Thome stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Macho Madrigal's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. In the 58th minute, Macho Madrigal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Macho Thome was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1. Macho Thome showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Macho Madrigal in the 65th minute of the match. PITIN SPORT's Macho Thome played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Medina in the 66th minute of play. Julian Gaueko took the ball and in the 68 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Macho Thome. Macho Thome dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 8-1. PUNTARENENSE F.C made a substitution. Nacho Cordoba replaced Mikael Garcia. Macho Madrigal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Macho Thome having to interfere. PITIN SPORT made a substitution. Rolando Volio replaced Pablo Derock. Macho Thome showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julian Gaueko in the 76th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, PITIN SPORT's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Gaueko came free, but Macho Thome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vinicio Medina recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 82 minutes into the match, PITIN SPORT's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Gaueko came free, but Macho Thome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 played minutes PITIN SPORT got a freekick which was hit by David Hernandez. PUNTARENENSE F.C made a substitution. Adalberto Mata replaced Felix Stenqvist. After 85 played minutes PITIN SPORT got a freekick which was hit by David Hernandez. 88 minutes into the match, PITIN SPORT's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Gaueko came free, but Macho Thome reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Rolando Volio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopoldo Nuñez in the 93rd minute of play forced PITIN SPORT's goalkeeper Macho Thome to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. PUNTARENENSE F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
