The referee ignored Intiyaco's protests and gave Fulgencio Gutierrez a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Club Atlético Stravinsky booed when Intiyaco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fulgencio Gutierrez didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Esteve Cresitobalo came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Club Atlético Stravinsky fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Esteve Cresitobalo couldn't finish the play. In the 24th match minute, Intiyaco was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gonzalo Marques to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anibal Darien was the one to do the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atlético Stravinsky's zone, Oscar Maura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodoro Tiniebra came out of the goal and Oscar Maura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Esteve Cresitobalo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ciriaco Fanuco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Intiyaco's supporters rose to their feet, but Ciriaco Fanuco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teodoro Tiniebra breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Club Atlético Stravinsky getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Felipe Norino hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Anibal Darien ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Orlando Rumaldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Orlando Rumaldo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Esteve Cresitobalo in the 79th minute of the match. After 79 minutes, Eriberto Rik mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Intiyaco and the Club Atlético Stravinsky players grew even worse after the yellow card. The Club Atlético Stravinsky fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. Oscar Maura was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 91st minute. Intiyaco's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ciriaco Fanuco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Teodoro Tiniebra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
