The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Silverio Guillelmus took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fidel Rami, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Froilan Sancho made a fantastic save in the 4th minute, when Fabricio Luar sent off a good shot on target. Sixto Berasko was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. In the 10th minute, Pablo Calixto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Domingos Berdoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Froilan Sancho came out and tried to block the shot, but Domingos Berdoi slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 11th minute. Froilan Sancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gareth Wilson in the 17th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gryffindor Lions's Alvaro Cutberto got a free kick in the 18th minute. After some careless play in the Bazán defense, Ulises Mosen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Silverio Guillelmus. The Bazán fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Silverio Guillelmus should have stopped the shot. In the 26th minute, Domingos Berdoi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bazán fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. Gareth Wilson scored 5-1 in the 29th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Froilan Sancho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Froilan Sancho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabricio Luar in the 31st minute of play. Bazán's Silverio Guillelmus played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Calixto in the 32nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wawrzyniec Bielejewski in the 37th minute of play forced Gryffindor Lions's goalkeeper Froilan Sancho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Froilan Sancho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabricio Luar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Bazán booed when Gryffindor Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bartolo Cordero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Evaristo Duarte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Eulalio Vachon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Clodoveo Cordaryal got free with Froilan Sancho in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fabricio Luar was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute Gareth Wilson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Froilan Sancho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gareth Wilson in the 57th minute of play. Froilan Sancho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gareth Wilson, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Froilan Sancho came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Bazán's Fabricio Luar. But to his dismay, Fabricio Luar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-1. After 66 minutes, Ulises Mosen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gryffindor Lions and the Bazán players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gryffindor Lions getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Ulises Mosen hit a great ball. If Pablo Calixto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fabricio Luar scored 7-1 in the 72nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Froilan Sancho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 85 minutes of play, Gryffindor Lions's Ulises Mosen made it 7-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Silverio Guillelmus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ulises Mosen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Silverio Guillelmus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Gryffindor Lions booed when Bazán was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Celio didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 95th minute Aurelio Mandara shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Froilan Sancho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bazán walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
