Odion Tao made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Frutos during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mikael Meck got free with Prospero Ovando in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Odion Tao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gaudencio Pelayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Odion Tao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gaudencio Pelayo in the 21st minute of the match. If Mikael Meck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 26 minutes, Roger Sandwall managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Melchester Rovers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Sandwall was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 27 minutes into the game, Jörgen Byström was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Melchester Rovers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave La France the free kick. A collision led to Melchester Rovers getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jörgen Byström hit a great ball. Odion Tao made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justino Ferrando in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Melchester Rovers's zone, Ildefonso Distiratsu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Odion Tao came out of the goal and Ildefonso Distiratsu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 34 minutes, Prospero Ovando successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 35 minutes La France's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Roger Sandwall who took care of the corner kick. The corner first didn't look so dangerous but when Brian Strömberg got the ball he succeeded in some way to get through the defenders to deliver a very hard score. Result 2-1. 36 minutes into the match. La France's Prospero Ovando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by A.J. 太史慈 in the 40th minute of play. Prospero Ovando made an important save on a dangerous shot by Roger Sandwall in the 41st minute. Ian Ekenberg received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Prospero Ovando came out and tried to block the shot, but Ian Ekenberg slotted it home off the left post making it 3-1 in the 42nd minute. When Eduardo Frutos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 45 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, La France's Eduardo Frutos got a free kick in the 45th minute. With a little luck, La France's Prospero Ovando got control of the ball when Roger Sandwall tried to sneak it across the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
Hannes Odén charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hannes Odén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The long shot by Justino Ferrando in the 52nd minute really tested Odion Tao's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Roger Sandwall scored 4-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Prospero Ovando, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Prospero Ovando showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from A.J. 太史慈 in the 57th minute of the match. After 61 minutes Melchester Rovers's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Justino Ferrando who took care of the corner kick. Justino Ferrando made a great header on La France's corner, it was just that Melchester Rovers's Odion Tao managed to reach the ball for a save. During the 64th minute of the match Jörgen Byström completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Jörgen Byström a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 64 played minutes Melchester Rovers got a freekick which was hit by Jörgen Byström. Ildefonso Distiratsu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Odion Tao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Roger Sandwall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Prospero Ovando didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from A.J. 太史慈 went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-1 was the resulting score. A.J. 太史慈 struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. Prospero Ovando didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Melchester Rovers. Odion Tao stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ildefonso Distiratsu's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 83rd match minute, Melchester Rovers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannes Odén to maneuver through the defense. Justino Ferrando lost his temper 93 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 92 minutes into the game, one of La France:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 95th minute there was a penalty for Melchester Rovers. Roger Sandwall stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Prospero Ovando. 6-1. Melchester Rovers were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of La France for a fine match.
