In the 3rd minute Gabriel Chavez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Florentino Herauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulo-Henrique Barros kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gabriel Chavez in the 21st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gabriel Chavez in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Florentino Herauso saved Santa Lucia de Merlo from getting behind. Flamengo de San Blás's Gheorghe Hagi was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Florentino Herauso in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Florentino Herauso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Chavez's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. When the match clock showed 29 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Gabriel Chavez sped through Santa Lucia de Merlo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Florentino Herauso. Rolando Henriguez made in the 37th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Gheorghe Hagi. In the 41st minute, Polo Quinteros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santa Lucia de Merlo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Florentino Herauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Chavez, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute.

Santa Lucia de Merlo's M. Agus Young was substituted for Polo Quinteros. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Herbert Mindykowski to strike the kick off in the second half. Florentino Herauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Chavez in the 57th minute of play. Florentino Herauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arman Söderström in the 60th minute of the match. Totín Garcia De Paredes hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by M. Agus Young in the 69th minute of play forced Flamengo de San Blás's goalkeeper Ramon Agurto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Florentino Herauso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gabriel Chavez in the 72nd minute of the match. Flamengo de San Blás's Gabriel Chavez got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 79 minutes, Gabriel Chavez made it 2-1 with a short kick to the right side. Santa Lucia de Merlo's Florentino Herauso tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Flamengo de San Blás made a substitution. Edgardo Villarreal replaced Herbert Mindykowski. Florentino Herauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gabriel Chavez, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Arman Söderström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute of the match, Aldo Hartz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ramon Agurto was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Flamengo de San Blás walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
