The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 8th minute Franky Dhondt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Martínez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vitaliy Vischak showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amador Kelemen, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Leandro Lorien took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vitaliy Vischak. Vitaliy Vischak dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Franky Dhondt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franky Dhondt in the 23rd minute of play forced Fecha Libre's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Søren Sørendorf made in the 25th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Hilario Tonete immediately put the ball in play. 29 minutes into the match, Fecha Libre's goal looked a bit too open when Franky Dhondt came free, but Emiliano Martínez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Fecha Libre booed when Cardo Ruso Cordobés was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hilario Tonete didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 35 played minutes Fecha Libre got a freekick which was hit by Octavian Nițisor. If Franky Dhondt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franky Dhondt in the 38th minute of play forced Fecha Libre's goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 45 played minutes Fecha Libre got a freekick which was hit by Octavian Nițisor. Søren Sørendorf fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 46th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

In the 54th match minute, Fecha Libre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eliseu Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Cipriano Frichoso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Emiliano Martínez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Cardo Ruso Cordobés getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Tobias Larsson hit a great ball. Strahil Sapundzhiev kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Cardo Ruso Cordobés's Modesto Urtungo was substituted for Cipriano Frichoso. After a rather tough play, Fecha Libre's Strahil Sapundzhiev got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Igli Tare sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fecha Libre were awarded a corner in the 75th minute after Cardo Ruso Cordobés's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Amador Kelemen took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Strahil Sapundzhiev managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. In the 81st minute, Igli Tare ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vitaliy Vischak was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Pat Rice sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Cardo Ruso Cordobés getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Nando Maidana hit a great ball. If Pong Kula had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Emiliano Martínez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pong Kula, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fecha Libre's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
