If Manuel Nogueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ali Kaan Ulağ took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zé Carlos Lopez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zé Carlos Lopez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ali Kaan Ulağ read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice moves Manuel Nogueira could shoot a difficult shot in the 27th minute, which Ali Kaan Ulağ however easily saved by the left post. Ali Kaan Ulağ came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Botafogo AP's Manuel Nogueira. But to his dismay, Manuel Nogueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Botafogo AP's goalkeeper Nilton dos Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Botafogo AP's Zé Carlos Lopez was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 41st play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emrah Yağızkan made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Karadeniz Ereğli S.K. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lokman Hacıoğlu to maneuver through the defense. Karadeniz Ereğli S.K.'s Ali Kaan Ulağ played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos Lopez in the 53rd minute of play. In the 54thth minute of the game Zé Carlos Lopez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karadeniz Ereğli S.K.'s Ali Kaan Ulağ was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Karadeniz Ereğli S.K.'s Lokman Hacıoğlu got a free kick in the 54th minute. Mazinho Arantes replaced Hélio Vander. When Mazinho Arantes came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Botafogo AP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mazinho Arantes couldn't finish the play. Botafogo AP made a substitution. Adilson Borges replaced Fábio Ferreira. Zé Carlos Lopez took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ali Kaan Ulağ. Ali Kaan Ulağ dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Zé Carlos Lopez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 played minutes Karadeniz Ereğli S.K. got a freekick which was hit by Doğuhan Başeskioğlu. Edvaldo Barbosa kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Emrah Yağızkan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Zé Carlos Lopez in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ali Kaan Ulağ prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Botafogo AP walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
