Loris Karius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miromir Bendyk in the 21st minute of the match. Marian Dombroski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Rüdy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Loris Karius made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Alberto Azevedo in the 26th minute of play. In the 32nd minute, Trójmiasto górą !'s Miromir Bendyk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Loris Karius. Ye Quan was slow to take the kick. During this time Trójmiasto górą !'s players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Trójmiasto górą !'s Bartlomiej Paprotny getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. In the 43rd minute, German Estevez got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
