The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfredo Rossi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Slawomir Wyrzykowski made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Popowicz in the 5th minute of play forced Racing Club【LBF】's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes had been played when some careless play by Racing Club【LBF】's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomasz Adamowicz was slow to take the kick. During this time Chlory's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Chlory's Bogdan Popowicz to fire away a dangerous shot which Cláudio Taffarel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Popowicz in the 9th minute of the match. Cláudio Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zachariasz Terasek, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Racing Club【LBF】's Cláudio Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bogdan Popowicz in the 14th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Popowicz in the 15th minute of play forced Racing Club【LBF】's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Racing Club【LBF】 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cláudio Taffarel should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bogdan Popowicz in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cláudio Taffarel saved Racing Club【LBF】 from getting behind. When the match clock showed 26 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Bogdan Popowicz sped through Racing Club【LBF】's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Cláudio Taffarel. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bogdan Popowicz in the 30th minute of play forced Racing Club【LBF】's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Popowicz in the 32nd minute of the match. Chlory were awarded a corner in the 33th minute after Racing Club【LBF】's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tomasz Adamowicz took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Arkadiusz Gongolewicz managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. When Chlory's Bogdan Popowicz in the 36th minute got a chance for a shot 36th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Racing Club【LBF】's goalie prevented a goal. When Manuel Marchidan came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Racing Club【LBF】 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Manuel Marchidan couldn't finish the play. 41 minutes into the match, Racing Club【LBF】's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Popowicz came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rdth minute of the game Bogdan Popowicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club【LBF】's Cláudio Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Chlory's Bogdan Popowicz in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Racing Club【LBF】's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bogdan Popowicz to make the kick off. After 53 played minutes Racing Club【LBF】 got a freekick which was hit by Alejo Galoer. Bogdan Popowicz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 57th minute Bogdan Popowicz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club【LBF】's zone, Bogdan Popowicz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cláudio Taffarel came out of the goal and Bogdan Popowicz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chlory's Slawomir Wyrzykowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfredo Rossi in the 63rd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Rossi in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Slawomir Wyrzykowski saved Chlory from getting behind. Racing Club【LBF】's Severino Jatsu was substituted for Tito Gilabert. Bogdan Popowicz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Cláudio Taffarel made a huge save. Cláudio Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bogdan Popowicz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cláudio Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogdan Popowicz in the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Racing Club【LBF】's goal looked a bit too open when Bogdan Popowicz came free, but Cláudio Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bogdan Popowicz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 81stth minute tested the skills of Cláudio Taffarel when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chlory's goalkeeper Slawomir Wyrzykowski, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 85thth minute of the game Bogdan Popowicz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club【LBF】's Cláudio Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Chlory's Bogdan Popowicz got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alejo Galoer kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. When Bogdan Popowicz came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Chlory fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bogdan Popowicz couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Chlory getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Zachariasz Terasek hit a great ball. Alejo Galoer hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The Chlory supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Chlory would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
