Higinio Porfiro came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's Davide Negri. But to his dismay, Davide Negri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. After 16 played minutes C.C. Ortigia Siracusa got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Formica. C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's Cesare Tristezza proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save C.C. Ortigia Siracusa from getting a goal against them. Armand Col blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Higinio Porfiro having to make a save. In the 41st minute, Davide Negri ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Higinio Porfiro was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. In the 44th minute Carlos Alberto Pernambucano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cesare Tristezza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 46 minutes into the game, C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's Davide Negri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Higinio Porfiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Davide Negri was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Davide Negri in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Higinio Porfiro saved LA MAQUINA F.C from getting behind. Davide Negris short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Higinio Porfiro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valentin Makovskiy in the 57th minute of play forced C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's goalkeeper Cesare Tristezza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Higinio Porfiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Davide Negri, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, C.C. Ortigia Siracusa's Davide Negri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Higinio Porfiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
