Patrick Hanselmann started the match with the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Patrick Hanselmann got free with Frank Lauria in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Iustin Coporan in the 10th minute of play forced MO฿฿YN RANGERS's goalkeeper Artur Boruc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MO฿฿YN RANGERS's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Pál-Szabó in the 11th minute of play. After 12 played minutes MO฿฿YN RANGERS got a freekick which was hit by D.J. 张锋文. Cosmin Iureș made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by MO฿฿YN RANGERS's Arne Tönnberg. When Patrick Hanselmann came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the MO฿฿YN RANGERS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Hanselmann couldn't finish the play. A collision led to MO฿฿YN RANGERS getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Boguslaw Niemoj hit a great ball. MO฿฿YN RANGERS's Artur Boruc played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Róbert Pál-Szabó in the 19th minute of play. In the 21st minute Róbert Pál-Szabó shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Champions Iasi's Frank Lauria got control of the ball when Patrick Hanselmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Champions Iasi's goalkeeper Frank Lauria, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Frank Lauria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patrick Hanselmann in the 27th minute of play. MO฿฿YN RANGERS's Olaf Filipowski was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Frank Lauria in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 31 minutes into the match, MO฿฿YN RANGERS's Patrick Hanselmann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frank Lauria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 34th minute Vasile Mumuleanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Boruc saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karol Fleischer kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 42 played minutes, Champions Iasi's Irinel Aldea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Artur Boruc came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Champions Iasi reached it. Patrick Hanselmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Frank Lauria made a huge save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Karol Fleischer got free with Frank Lauria in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Patrick Hanselmann came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the MO฿฿YN RANGERS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Patrick Hanselmann couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Frank Lauria showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrick Hanselmann in the 52nd minute of the match. The corner ended in D.J. 张锋文 almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Champions Iasi's Frank Lauria did a great save. Artur Boruc made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Iustin Coporan sent off a good shot on target. Champions Iasi's Frank Lauria played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Hanselmann in the 78th minute of play. Artur Boruc made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Róbert Pál-Szabó in the 79th minute of play. MO฿฿YN RANGERS's Arne Tönnberg managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Cosmin Iureș in the 80 minute of the game. Frank Lauria stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrick Hanselmann's shot from short distance in the 80th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Champions Iasi's zone, Patrick Hanselmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Frank Lauria came out of the goal and Patrick Hanselmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. MO฿฿YN RANGERS's Artur Boruc proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 93rd minute of the match, managed to save MO฿฿YN RANGERS from getting a goal against them.
