In the 5th minute Unai Calatayud shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Laurențiu Zăvoianu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ac Milan's attentive Marjus Dragoti managed to snatch the ball when Marcos Odín made a throw-in in the 7th minute of the game. Atlético Ourense's Indartsu Sarro quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rami Kapaj, made in the 9th minute of the game. Marcos Odín made in the 13th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Unai Calatayud. Laurențiu Zăvoianu was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Leonides Sánchez. In the 22nd minute, Unai Calatayud ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Laurențiu Zăvoianu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 25 minutes into the match, Ac Milan's goalkeeper Laurențiu Zăvoianu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Unai Calatayud. After 26 played minutes Ac Milan got a freekick which was hit by Tedi Lulo. After 30 minutes of play, Ac Milan's Ilmi Duka made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Colon Manrique was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Unai Calatayud made a precise shot to the right of Laurențiu Zăvoianu. Ac Milan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ac Milan's zone, Unai Calatayud stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurențiu Zăvoianu came out of the goal and Unai Calatayud tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 39 played minutes Ac Milan got a freekick which was hit by Tedi Lulo. The long shot by Indartsu Sarro in the 39th minute really tested Laurențiu Zăvoianu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Valdir Godoi during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 43rd minute, Valdir Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 46 minutes, Unai Calatayud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Atlético Ourense's supporters crossed their fingers, but Unai Calatayud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Euloxu Bermudez hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Unai Calatayud to strike the kick off in the second half. Atlético Ourense's Marcos Odín quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Demir Poradeci, made in the 54th minute of the game. Laurențiu Zăvoianu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Unai Calatayud, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Colon Manrique showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tedi Lulo in the 63rd minute of the match. 71 minutes into the match, Ac Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Unai Calatayud came free, but Laurențiu Zăvoianu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 75 played minutes Ac Milan got a freekick which was hit by Valdir Godoi. In the 76th match minute, Ac Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valdir Godoi to maneuver through the defense. In the 78th minute, Tartalo Rajoi made a precise shot to the right of Laurențiu Zăvoianu. Ac Milan's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. After a defensive mix-up in Ac Milan's zone, Tartalo Rajoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Laurențiu Zăvoianu came out of the goal and Tartalo Rajoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
