In the 16th minute Sérgio Linares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erramu Tavarez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bebeto de Sena might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erramu Tavarez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bebeto de Sena ran back to his position shaking his head. Erramu Tavarez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sérgio Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Arsenal MGK getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Vitório Campidelis hit a great ball. Zé Augusto Varela came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by RamPa Football Club's Ramon Messi. But to his dismay, Ramon Messi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ramon Bierhoffs short, quick shot in the 35thth minute got Zé Augusto Varela to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Bebeto de Sena scored 2-1 in the 39th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Erramu Tavarez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 48 minutes into the match, Arsenal MGK's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Messi came free, but Zé Augusto Varela reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ramon Messi made a kick off. Arsenal MGK's Zé Augusto Varela played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ramon Bierhoff in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramon Bierhoff in the 63rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Augusto Varela prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erramu Tavarez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joélson Matos, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. If Sérgio Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Arsenal MGK booed when RamPa Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geofredo Zubieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Sérgio Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zé Augusto Varela came out of the goal in the 77th minute to try and stop a shot by RamPa Football Club's Ramon Messi. But to his dismay, Ramon Messi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. With a little luck, RamPa Football Club's Erramu Tavarez got control of the ball when Sérgio Linares tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 87th minute, Sérgio Linares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 88th minute, Ramon Messi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ramon Messi in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in RamPa Football Club's zone, Joélson Matos stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erramu Tavarez came out of the goal and Joélson Matos tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Arsenal MGK booed when RamPa Football Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geofredo Zubieta didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bebeto de Sena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Erramu Tavarez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, RamPa Football Club could leave the field as winners, despite Arsenal MGK having more of the ball for most of the match.
