In the 9th match minute, MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Filip to maneuver through the defense. Jack Ares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabian Ioniță having to interfere. The supporters of MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV booed when Ares FC -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eamon Ares didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Brain Struik got free with Codrin Vancea in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 15 minutes into the match, Ares FC -MM-'s goalkeeper Codrin Vancea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Brain Struik. The MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV fans' excitement grew in the 17th match minute when MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Brain Struik looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 39th minute, Rareș Vasilescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 42 minutes into the match, Ares FC -MM-'s goalkeeper Codrin Vancea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiberiu Filip. Basarab Stejaru hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. Brain Struik struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Codrin Vancea didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV. 47 minutes into the match, Dacian Blajovici had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Codrin Vancea. Ares FC -MM-'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dacian Blajovici was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Brain Struik to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dacian Blajovici in the 53rd minute of play forced Ares FC -MM-'s goalkeeper Codrin Vancea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's Dacian Blajovici got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eliodor Arnăuțescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Codrin Vancea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Fabian Ioniță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ovidiu Dobrica, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. MCB Timisoara 1921 BTV walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
