In the 5th minute, Andreas Unterligauer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poli Timisoara fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 8 minutes into the match, Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Thomas Polster had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sorin Marian. In the 14th minute Iosif Dorlea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thomas Polster saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thomas Polster took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiberiu Andone, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Valentin Cristoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Unterligauer in the 17th minute of play. Roy Piater sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thomas Polster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Potocianu, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Sebastian Gehlen charged in rather forcefully in the 26th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sebastian Gehlen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 25th minute, one of Poli Timisoara:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Poli Timisoara. Poli Timisoara:s Thomas Polster showed great skill when he stopped Tiberiu Andone:s penalty. A collision led to Poli Timisoara getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Robin Pluta hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Andreas Unterligauer made a precise shot to the right of Valentin Cristoiu. GoooooL's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Thomas Polster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luca Potocianu in the 38th minute. A collision led to Poli Timisoara getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Robin Wörns hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Andreas Unterligauer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roy Piater in the 47th minute of play forced GoooooL's goalkeeper Valentin Cristoiu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The GoooooL players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Poli Timisoara were winning 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Luca Potocianu to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Tiberiu Andone ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thomas Polster was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ferdinand Ivașcu in the 59th minute of play forced Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Thomas Polster to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valentin Cristoiu didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 62nd minute, which inside left pole to 2-3. After 64 played minutes GoooooL got a freekick which was hit by Sorin Marian. 66 minutes into the match, GoooooL's goal looked a bit too open when Justin Kulovitz came free, but Valentin Cristoiu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 67 played minutes Andreas Unterligauer rounded GoooooL's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-4. Valentin Cristoiu came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by Poli Timisoara's Roy Piater. But to his dismay, Roy Piater quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-5. After 75 minutes, Andreas Unterligauer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poli Timisoara and the GoooooL players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Andreas Unterligauer to maneuver through the defense. Tiberiu Andone blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Thomas Polster having to make a save. Andreas Unterligauer received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valentin Cristoiu came out and tried to block the shot, but Andreas Unterligauer slotted it home off the left post making it 2-6 in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute, Robin Wörns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luca Potocianu took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thomas Polster. Thomas Polster dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-6. After 91 played minutes GoooooL got a freekick which was hit by Ernest Andrițoiu. Valentin Cristoiu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Justin Kulovitz in the 93rd minute of play. The Poli Timisoara players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
