Dursun Yasin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Malcolm Hopton came out and tried to block the shot, but Dursun Yasin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. Menderes Tekdoğan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jimmy Mulford in the 21st minute of the match. Vecdi Oruz might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Malcolm Hopton. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vecdi Oruz ran back to his position shaking his head. When Vic Bayne fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gone With the Win's protests and gave Vic Bayne a yellow card for diving instead. Vic Bayne hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. After 35 played minutes Gone With the Win got a freekick which was hit by Vic Bayne. When Osman Canbolat came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Sarı kaya FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osman Canbolat couldn't finish the play. After 38 played minutes Gone With the Win got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Shotton. In the 39th minute of the match Osman Canbolat sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Malcolm Hopton skillfully saved the ball. After 45 played minutes Sarı kaya FK got a freekick which was hit by Bekir Çolakoğlu. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jermaine Wroe in the 47th minute of play forced Sarı kaya FK's goalkeeper Menderes Tekdoğan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

In the 55th minute, Bora Baroğlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarı kaya FK's goalkeeper Menderes Tekdoğan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Gone With the Win booed when Sarı kaya FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bora Baroğlu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sarı kaya FK's Menderes Tekdoğan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Sarı kaya FK from getting a goal against them. In the 61st minute, Sarı kaya FK's Osman Canbolat seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Osman Canbolat the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sarı kaya FK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Osman Canbolat had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 61 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sarı kaya FK! Darryl Forrest shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. When Jermaine Wroe came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Gone With the Win fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jermaine Wroe couldn't finish the play. After 70 played minutes Sarı kaya FK got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Ozan Şendoğan. When Jermaine Wroe came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Gone With the Win fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jermaine Wroe couldn't finish the play. Ahmet Ozan Şendoğan hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Jermaine Wroes short, quick shot in the 73rdth minute got Menderes Tekdoğan to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ahmet Ozan Şendoğan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Malcolm Hopton having to interfere. Jermaine Wroe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Menderes Tekdoğan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yaser Memduh recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Malcolm Hopton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yaser Memduh, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute.
