Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kristian Fogel started the match with the kick off. The supporters of 1910 Di Blåe booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Dahlberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute Ingvar Granberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Torbjörn Helander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes, Melker Gråberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Degerfors IF and the 1910 Di Blåe players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 17 played minutes Degerfors IF got a freekick which was hit by Melker Gråberg. Melker Gråberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Torbjörn Helander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, 1910 Di Blåe's Henry Dahlberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eric Ivarsson. Eric Ivarsson yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Helge Alberg charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Helge Alberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Torbjörn Helander didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kristian Fogel went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 38 minutes into the game, Degerfors IF's Kristian Fogel nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Torbjörn Helander made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A collision led to 1910 Di Blåe getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Jonas Nyberg hit a great ball. Eric Ivarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Nyberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ingvar Granberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Torbjörn Helander having to interfere. 64 minutes into the game, Henry Dahlberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. 1910 Di Blåe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Degerfors IF the free kick. Henry Dahlberg kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 1910 Di Blåe's Torbjörn Helander proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save 1910 Di Blåe from getting a goal against them. Ingvar Vallander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Torbjörn Helander tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Torbjörn Helander was out of position in the 84 minute of play, and Melker Gråberg capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Melker Gråberg really showed his touch with that goal: 2-3. Eric Ivarsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 1910 Di Blåe succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Degerfors IF had controlled the match.
