The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Murilo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Anzhelo Gerushin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 5th minute Murilo Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anzhelo Gerushin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Anzhelo Gerushin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Murilo Prestes's shot from short distance in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute of the game Toncho Súrbinski made a throw-in which Toncho Súrbinski played forward. Toncho Súrbinski kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Ryszard Iwanowski scored 0-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Anzhelo Gerushin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 15thth minute of the game Murilo Prestes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ЦСКА's Anzhelo Gerushin was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The corner ended in Murilo Prestes almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but ЦСКА's Anzhelo Gerushin did a great save. The supporters of SORRISO E. C. booed when ЦСКА was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yane Robev didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Murilo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anzhelo Gerushin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ryszard Iwanowski in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anzhelo Gerushin saved ЦСКА from getting behind. Carlos Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Shumkov, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Belcho Hlebarov could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Carlos Ramos made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, ЦСКА's goal looked a bit too open when Murilo Prestes came free, but Anzhelo Gerushin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, ЦСКА's Yane Robev got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Belcho Hlebarov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Carlos Ramos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Murilo Prestes to make the kick off. Murilo Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anzhelo Gerushin having to interfere. Toncho Súrbinski kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. SORRISO E. C.'s Ryszard Iwanowski got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Murilo Prestes took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Anzhelo Gerushin to make any attempt to save it. A hard shot 70 in the game by Murilo Prestes from a close distance when the talented Anzhelo Gerushin managed to make a qualified save. ЦСКА's players were relieved. Anzhelo Gerushin came out of the goal in the 71st minute to try and stop a shot by SORRISO E. C.'s Murilo Prestes. But to his dismay, Murilo Prestes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4. In the 75th minute Murilo Prestes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anzhelo Gerushin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the ЦСКА defense, Ryszard Iwanowski kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Anzhelo Gerushin. The ЦСКА fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Anzhelo Gerushin should have stopped the shot. Carlos Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belcho Hlebarov, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. If Murilo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 85th minute, Toncho Súrbinski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anzhelo Gerushin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Murilo Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Anzhelo Gerushin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Válbson Machado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The ЦСКА fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SORRISO E. C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
