The Delta FS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Arnoldo Iyan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Roberto Herensuge showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Leitão, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Tarcísio Leite made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ceferino Dimo in the 15th minute. Delta FS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Despidida AFC the free kick. Roberto Herensuge was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Geronimo Izotz came free with the goalkeeper in the 35th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Tarcísio Leite could save by the left post. Roberto Herensuge came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Delta FS's Andaka Rallo. But to his dismay, Andaka Rallo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. In the 45th match minute, Delta FS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Baptista to maneuver through the defense.

In the 52nd match minute, Despidida AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elpidio Jorrin to maneuver through the defense. In the 56th minute, Lisandro Francis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 played minutes Despidida AFC got a freekick which was hit by Cirilo Peruanton. Delta FS's Andaka Rača got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Andaka Rallo came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Delta FS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andaka Rallo couldn't finish the play. In the 69th minute, Delta FS's Vasco Ribas dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-6. Tarcísio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Lore in the 74th minute of play. Tarcísio Leite didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geronimo Izotz went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. In the 81st minute, Delta FS's Ricardo Baptista ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roberto Herensuge. Roberto Herensuge yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-7. 86 minutes into the match, Geronimo Izotz notched a goal, 2-7, to the right of Delta FS's Tarcísio Leite. Tarcísio Leite was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 94th minute, Ricardo Baptista made a precise shot to the right of Roberto Herensuge. Despidida AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-8. Delta FS's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
